(Hong Kong, 24 May 2017) Octopus Cards Limited (OCL) is launching its first-ever Minions 3D Octopus Ornaments, turning the endearing Minions' signature characters Bob and Stuart into Octopus ambassadors – so their fans can have extra fun while enjoying convenient Octopus payment experiences this summer!

Priced at HK$188 each, with no deposit or initial stored value, the Minions 3D Octopus Ornaments will be available for sale from 31 May 2017 at all 7-Eleven convenience stores in town.

The Minions 3D Octopus Ornament series comprises three adorable design versions. The two adult versions are the banana eating Bob and the guitar playing Stuart. They feature movable arms to show the distinctive charm of Minions and are packaged with a detachable metal chain and a cute accessory. The child version has a special lanyard, and the figurine of Bob hugging a teddy bear. These new ornaments are not-to-miss items for Minions admirers in Hong Kong.

Just like other Octopus products, the Minions 3D Octopus Ornaments can be used for public transport and payments at over 20,000 retail outlets throughout Hong Kong. In addition, users can check their latest 40 transaction records and make online payments through the Octopus App on NFC-enabled mobile devices, bringing greater convenience to their daily lives. They can also apply for the Octopus Automatic Add Value Service (AAVS) and register as Octopus Rewards members to earn Reward$ at designated merchants, or make cash top-ups at OCL's authorised service providers or retailers.
