Octopus App Redesigned to Become the Perfect Companion for Octopus Customers

The Octopus App has been revamped, with a refreshed user interface allowing customers to better manage their Octopus cards and services, especially the most popular top-up and essential transport services. Major user benefits of the revamped Octopus App include:

  • Octopus card and Octopus Wallet functions are featured separately, enabling customers to far more easily find the related products and services; they can also top up their Octopus cards and check their balance anytime, anywhere;
  • Customers can find transport-related information and services at a glance, including checking and collecting the Public Transport Fare Subsidy Scheme; MTR, bus and ferry monthly pass purchases; and MTR Student Travel Scheme renewal;
  • Key merchants using Octopus card numbers for members to earn rewards in their loyalty programmes are grouped together. Customers can easily join the programmes through the Octopus App, and obtain the latest promotion offers;
  • A customer can transfer funds from Octopus Wallet to a friend's Octopus card by tapping the card onto the mobile phone, making P2P (peer-to-peer) payment a seamless experience

Octopus O! ePay, the digital wallet, has also been renamed Octopus Wallet*, making it an integral part of the Octopus App and empowering Octopus customers with an even wider range of offline and online payment functions.
