Huawei Pay Octopus is an Octopus in HUAWEI Wallet that uses Near Field Communication (NFC) to make contactless payments for transport, shopping and dining in Hong Kong – by just tapping your Huawei Device at Octopus readers. You can easily add a new Octopus, top up, or check your spending or balance on your Huawei Device using HUAWEI Wallet or the Octopus App for Tourists.
The Octopus App is for Octopus users to sign in Huawei account with Hong Kong as the registered region. The Octopus App for Tourists is for Octopus users who have Huawei Pay and sign in Huawei account with Mainland China, Macau and Singapore as the registered region on Huawei Pay.

If you have Huawei Pay and sign in Huawei Account with Mainland China, Macau and Singapore as the registered region, you can download the Octopus App for Tourists from Huawei AppGallery.
If you sign in Huawei account with Mainland China, Macau and Singapore as the registered region, to use Huawei Pay Octopus, you will need to download the Octopus App for Tourists from Huawei AppGallery. You will need to update your mobile device to the latest system software and HUAWEI Wallet app to 9.0.12 version or above, login HUAWEI Wallet with Huawei ID in order to use Huawei Pay Octopus.
Huawei Pay Octopus is just like a physical Octopus card, with the added benefit of being able to be topped up on-the-go by using a UnionPay credit or debit card (the issued region must be the same as your Huawei Account registered region) supported by Huawei Pay via the Octopus App for Tourists.
The stored value limit is HK$3,000.
