General and Set up
You may learn about the availability of Apple Services here.
You can add your Octopus on iPhone as a payment method by following these steps:
- In iPhone, go to Settings. Tap on your Apple Account and select “Payment and Shipping”. You might be asked to sign in.
- Tap “Add Payment Method” and select “Octopus” as your payment method.
- Tap on “Verify Octopus” and complete the process.
If you want to use another Octopus for payment, select the existing Octopus option from "Payment & Shipping", click "Tap here if you need to bind again" and choose another Mobile Octopus to complete the process.
Usage and transactions
You can use your Octopus on iPhone or Apple Watch to pay for a range of digital services and subscriptions on App Store, Apple Music, Apple TV+, iTunes Store purchases, and iCloud storage in Hong Kong. However, this service cannot be used to purchase Apple hardware devices.
You will need an Octopus on iPhone, registered to your Octopus Wallet. You may then follow the instructions in Question 2.
No. Octopus can only be used for Apple Services offered in Hong Kong. You may refer to services available here.
No. Octopus does not charge any handling fee for use at Apple Services.

Usage such as transaction amount and limits of your Octopus on iPhone or Apple Watch remain the same as usage at any other merchants.
You can refer to the receipt(s) issued by Apple. You may also enquire about your Octopus transaction details under Transactions and Balance in the Octopus App.
You can either add a new Octopus or an existing Octopus registered to your Octopus Wallet by following the instructions in Question 2.
Refunds and disputes
To request a refund, please visit https://reportaproblem.apple.com. If Apple has assessed and accepted your refund request, you will receive a notification via email from Apple, or you can check the refund status in the Octopus App directly. You can then collect your refund via the App. Apple has the sole discretion on acceptance of refund requests.
You may visit either reportaproblem.apple.com, or getsupport.apple.com, and log in your Apple Account for issuing claim/ refund request.
If your Octopus is no longer available at the time of refund, Octopus will notify you via the email registered at your Octopus Wallet for refund arrangements. You may also contact us for assistance.
