CaoCao Mobility and Octopus Announce Strategic Partnership to Advance Ride-hailing Services in Hong Kong and Driving Smart Mobility Innovation
(Hong Kong, 18 June 2026) CaoCao Mobility (“CaoCao”) and Octopus today have entered into a strategic cooperation agreement. Both parties will captilise on the standardisation of Hong Kong’s ride-hailing market to enhance compliant ride-hailing services and further advance the development of the city’s smart mobility sector. CaoCao Mobility will position Hong Kong as the first international launch market for its RoboX strategy. Together, the two parties will drive the development of Hong Kong’s smart mobility ecosystem, with the ambition of establishing a globally leading benchmark for intelligent transportation.
Octopus is a leading digital payment and lifestyle service platform in Hong Kong, with a broad presence spanning transport, retail, dining, rewards and travel. In recent years, Octopus has actively expanded into the transport sector, launching taxi e-payment services and its local ride-hailing platform “Octopus Easy Ride”, establishing distinctive strengths in payment infrastructure, customer engagement, and ecosystem integration.
This partnership will further build on Octopus’s strong foundation in payments and local mobility platforms, creating powerful synergies with CaoCao Mobility’s capabilities in smart mobility and operations. Together, the parties aim to advance the development of compliant ride-hailing services and support the long-term growth of smart mobility in Hong Kong.
