Preventive Measures for COVID-19
Health and safety are the top priority at Octopus Cards Limited (OCL), and we take comprehensive precautions. To ensure business continuity, some business functions implemented split team operations during the pandemic. Employees from
the same section had to report duty at different office/zones to minimise the risk of infection. Apart from the conducting air-conditioner filter replacement or cleaning in phases, we have also adopted photocatalytic technology for common facilities in our offices to enhance hygiene in the working environment. A box of masks is distributed to each employee every two months to ensure safety of all employees.
Parenting Community
Octopus Cards Limited (OCL) always cares about the well-being of its employees and their families. With the positive feedback on the parental talk on primary school application in September, another seminar on “Strategies on Application to Kindergartens” was held. Expert on children development “Ken Sir” shared tips on school interview and video-taking application. In October, a seminar on preventing back pain “Back You Up” for parents was also organised.
Training Highlights
To promote digital culture within the company, we have invited Dr. Alexander Chan, Head of Centre for Management and Innovation at Institute of China Business, HKUSPACE to give a seminar to our staff on “Artificial Intelligence (AI)” in October. Dr. Chan is PhD holder of Artificial Intelligence at Cardiff University in United Kingdom. During the seminar, fundamental concepts of AI, leading edge applications and business benefits were shared. Dr. Chan also guided us on how to make use of AI in our business.
