Octopus Secure Data Exchange (OSDX) Channel for Data Transfers through Broadband Internet

OSDX is the major Octopus data transfer channel for Octopus merchants, which is becoming popular since its introduction. OSDX can support broadband internet to provide a more secure and faster data transfer service. Merchants should use an OSDX supportable version of Operating System with Anti-virus software installed in the workstation or system. Reminder to Roll Out Updated Firmware and Library

OCL has recently upgraded the transaction processing efficiency of Octopus readers through a new Octopus Firmware and Library update. To facilitate the rollout of the update to the readers at various service points, merchants are reminded to contact their Professional Services representatives for details if the technical team/System Integrator have not completed the deployment.

Maintenance and Battery Replacement for Multi-Purpose Octopus Processor

To avoid unexpected downtime and incorrect device time clock of Multi-Purpose Octopus Processors (MOPs), merchants are recommended to return any MOPs six months before the end of its 5-year service life to Octopus Equipment Maintenance Service Centre for battery replacement and regular maintenance.
