You are asked to grant permission to the Octopus App to access your phone book for your convenience, to enable you to find other Octopus Wallet users and add them as your friends on Octopus Wallet. Only the mobile numbers in your contact information will be transferred to our servers. All the mobile numbers will be encrypted and will not be stored in our servers. And we will not disclose your contacts to any third parties.

You can send a friend request in the Octopus App, tap "Wallet" > tap "All" in the Friends section > tap "Add Friends", then search the friend you want to invite and click "Invite Friend".

Open the Octopus App, tap "Message" and tap "You have add friend request". Under "Friend Requests Received", tap the name of the requestor and accept the request.

For your safety, please ensure that the request has come from someone you know by checking the phone number shown in the request.

In the Octopus App, tap "Wallet" > tap "All" in the Friends section. Click the name of the friend and press the 'Unfriend' button at the top right corner to remove this friend from your Wallet friend list. A corresponding "Unfriend" feed will be posted on your 'Activities' page upon your action and all outstanding payment requests between this friend and you will no longer be processed.
