“FPS x PromptPay QR payment” allows Octopus Wallet users to pay Thailand cross-border merchants when they visit Thailand.

All Octopus Wallet Plus and Pro (Verified) users can use the “FPS x PromptPay QR payment” service without any application process. For eligibility details, please refer to “Additional Terms and Conditions Relating to Fund Transfer with Banks and FPS Participants under Octopus Wallet Service in respect of Payment Service outside Hong Kong through FPS”.

Octopus introduces this feature so customers can use the Octopus Wallet to pay cross-border merchants without the hassle of converting foreign currencies in advance. This allows users to enjoy seamless payment experiences with the Octopus App in Thailand.

The service is currently only applicable for payments at merchants in Thailand and is not available for other countries.
