Card Image is a feature enabling customers to change the card image designs for their Octopus on iPhone or Apple Watch or Octopus on Android. Some Card Images include App themes (if applicable), which enable you to personalize your Octopus App.

To get a card image and App theme, you will need to fulfil the following criteria:

1. Own an Octopus on iPhone or Apple Watch or Octopus on Android;
2. Update your mobile device to the latest version of iOS / watchOS / Android;
3. Download the latest version of Octopus App; and
4. Register and login to an Octopus Wallet account and get a card image and an App theme in “Card Image Store”.
5. Set your Mobile Octopus to display on the main menu of the Octopus App. Octopus App will automatically display the Mobile Octopus you used to purchase the card image with App theme on main menu, or you can enable this manually by going to “Manage Octopus ” > “Settings” and turning on the “Select this Octopus to display on main menu” option.

The card image animation will only be displayed on specific screens in Octopus App and supported mobile devices. No animation will be played on Apple Wallet and Google Wallet.

Yes. There is a validity period for each card image and App theme, which will be counted from the date (inclusive) of your purchase or collection. Additionally, there are some special card images and App themes with specified expiry date, please pay attention when purchase or collect the card image.

Card image is only applicable to Anonymous Adult and Personalised Octopus. Bank Co-brand Octopus and Elder Octopus are not applicable for card image.

“My Card Image” is an album to store all of your card images and App themes acquired. You can check the expiry date of card image and App themes, change or apply card image and App themes to your Octopus on iPhone or Apple Watch or Octopus on Android there.
