You should have a mobile device with either Android with NFC function, or iOS - iPhone 7 or newer with iOS 13 or above, or a mobile device connected to an Octopus Mobile POS to support the Octopus card payment acceptance function in the Cashier mode.

Yes. You can still connect an Octopus Mobile POS to your mobile device, to accept Octopus card payments from customers.

Yes. You can use iOS - iPhone 7 or newer with iOS 13 or above, or connected to a Octopus Mobile POS, to accept payments from customers paying with Octopus cards.

Yes, they can.
All accounts require users to upload legitimate documents such as business registration and bank details to us, so we can perform due diligence.
Only designated NFC-enabled mobile devices verified by the Octopus App for Business can accept payment from Octopus users. Monies from transactions can only be transferred to designated merchant bank accounts.
Octopus Cards Limited will also carry out periodical testing of security and privacy settings. All transactions using either Octopus cards or products, or via the Octopus App, can be checked through the existing transaction enquiry channels. Octopus Cards Limited records all card payment transactions. We will note and monitor any abnormal usage and follow-up with merchants.
