Octopus Lends Support to Underprivileged Children

To play our part as a good corporate citizen and underscore our commitment to helping the community, Octopus joined hands with St. James' Settlement to co-organise the Octopus Kids' Nurturing Programme in 2007. The programme aims to provide underprivileged students with an opportunity to participate in extra-curricular activities to enhance their all-round development.

With innovation as one of our core values, we understand the need to support and care for the next generation and provide them with the opportunity to nurture their talents and creativity. In view of the social problem of cross-generation deficiency, these deprived children lack the resources for self-development. By supporting the programme, we hope the children can strengthen their confidence, learn to cope with adversity and strive to build a bright future.

Apart from providing financial support to the programme, Octopus also encourages staff to contribute through an Octopus volunteer team which takes part in the programme's activities.
