Octopus Links Up with Renowned
Artist Ah Chung to Launch
Year of the Tiger Special Edition Octopus
(Hong Kong, 25 January 2010) To celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year, Octopus has linked up with renowned local artist Ah Chung (Yim Yee King) to launch the "Ah Chung" Year of the Tiger Special Edition Octopus. Featuring a strong and energetic tiger in Ah Chung's signature Chinese ink artwork, the Special Edition Octopus will bring the people of Hong Kong an auspicious start to the Year of the Tiger.
The Ah Chung Year of the Tiger Special Edition Octopus comes
in three versions with different tiger images painted by Ah
Chung using simple brushstrokes along with inspirational expressions.
The Adult Octopus is printed with a leaping tiger that symbolises
a vigorous and successful New Year. Users of the special Elder
Octopus are blessed with good health. Lastly, little tigers
featured in the Child Octopus denote wise and fearless kids.
These unique Ah Chung Year of the Tiger Special Edition Octopus
are ideal gifts and a perfect match for Lai Sees in celebration
of the Chinese New Year.
From today (25 January 2010) onwards, the Ah Chung Year of
the Tiger Special Edition Octopus are available at a price
of HK$50 each in limited quantities at all 7-Eleven outlets
and Circle-K stores. The price does not include any deposit
or initial stored value.
Like all Octopus products, the Ah Chung Year of the Tiger Special Edition Octopus can be used on public transport and at many retail outlets across Hong Kong. They can be used to apply for the Octopus Automatic Add Value Service and registered for the Octopus Rewards Programme to earn Reward$. They can also be reloaded at any Octopus service provider or retailer authorised to provide the Octopus Add Value Service.
