(Hong Kong, 8 June 2009) Octopus Cards Limited
(OCL) has teamed up with 21 banks and credit card issuing
companies to bring an array of offers and extra Reward$
to Automatic Add Value Service (AAVS) customers. From 9
June to 31 July 2009, customers who successfully apply for
the Automatic Add Value Service and auto reload at least
once on or before 15 September 2009 will receive Reward$50
or Reward$30* respectively for auto reload options of HK$500
and HK$250. Customers can also enjoy the on-going cash rebates,
bonus points and other privileges offered by the individual
banks and credit card issuing companies.
"It has never been easier to maximise the benefits
offered by both Octopus and the partnering banks,"
said Rita Li, Head of Marketing, Octopus Cards Limited.
"AAVS gives customers an unparalleled level of convenience
for hassle-free shopping and travel. Now customers can earn
double or triple benefits too."
Launched in 1999, AAVS is currently provided by 21 banks
and credit card issuing companies in Hong Kong. The AAVS
feature is available for all Octopus products. Whenever
the stored value in the AAVS-enabled Octopus reaches zero
or a negative balance, the Octopus will be automatically
reloaded with either HK$500 or HK$250, subject to the customer's
choice. Each Octopus can be auto-reloaded once a day and
the reloaded amount will be deducted from the designated
credit card account.
By linking Octopus AAVS transactions to a credit card account,
customers can enjoy an interest-free repayment period for
the reloaded amount. In addition, credit card issuers give
bonus points or cash rebates for AAVS transactions allowing
customers to earn points or cash bonuses even faster than
before.
To register, please call the AAVS Application Hotline on
2266 2338. For more information about AAVS or other enquiries,
please contact the Octopus Customer Service Hotline on 2266
2222.
Note*: Reward$ can be used as cash or redeemed for special
offers at over 800 locations throughout Hong Kong. The list
of Octopus Rewards partners and other details can be found
