Octopus Staff Raise over HK$200,000 for Earthquake Victims
Company Matches Dollar for Dollar for HK$400,000 Donation

(Hong Kong, 3 June 2008) Staff members of Octopus Cards Limited (“OCL”) have raised over HK$200,000 in response to donation appeals for rescue and relief work for the Sichuan earthquake victims. Together with the dollar-for-dollar matching fund from the company, a combined total of over HK$400,000 from OCL staff and the company will be donated to Hong Kong Red Cross for its relief operations in Sichuan Province.

Ms Prudence Chan, Chief Executive Officer of Octopus Cards Limited, said, “Our staff have responded well to calls for help. I am truly touched by their generosity as we are only a 240-strong company. We wish for a quick recovery in Sichuan Province and hope the victims can rebuild their homes, enabling them to return to a normal life as soon as possible.”
