Wellcome Launches Octopus with Discount Coupon Promotion


Hong Kong, September 26, 2003 Wellcome, Hong Kong's largest supermarket chain, today announced that Octopus are now accepted in all of its' supermarkets.

On top of credit cards, cash and EPS, the Octopus card is a welcome addition as an alternative form of payment as part of Wellcome's commitment to provide its' customers with every convenience possible.

In order to boost public awareness that Wellcome now accepts Octopus cards as well as encourage and reward customers for trying out this new method of payment at supermarkets, customers who pay with their Octopus cards will receive a special set of product discount coupons with eight great offers – while stocks last.

The offers redeemable upon presentation of Octopus discount coupons are:

thirty dollars off First Choice battery chargers.
five dollars off four First Choice AA/AAA batteries
eight dollars and sixty cents off Sprite Ice/Sprite Super Lemon four-packs
half price on Magnum ice-cream bars
five dollars and ninety cents off 3x95.5g Frutips blackcurrant/fruit pastilles
four dollars and forty cents off 350g Garden saltine family size crackers
half price on Mamee instant noodles

Product offers are valid for four weeks.
