Wing Hang Credit Card "Octopus Automatic Add-Value Service"

Wing Hang Bank and Creative Star Limited have joined hands to provide the automatic add-value service for all existing and future Wing Hang Credit Card and Personalised Octopus cardholders. Wing Hang cardholders can now enjoy this hassle-free and convenient service while using the Octopus Card.

In this fast pace era, the usage of Octopus cards is becoming extensive. More and more customers recognize the benefits of the automatic add-value service. The automatic add-value service is so convenient that when the value stored in the Octopus Card reaches zero or becomes negative, Wing Hang Credit Card will add HK$250 to the Octopus Card automatically. The cardholder will then be entitled to as many as 8 weeks interest-free repayment period and up to 1.025% cash rebate for the value added to the Octopus Card.

Octopus was launched in September 1997. Today, more than 8 million cards are in circulation, with daily transaction of over 6.5 million. Creative Star, the operator of the Octopus system, now has over 80 service providers including public transport, car parks, retailing services (such as convenience stores, fast food, cake shops), self-help services (vending, photo booths, photocopiers, etc), leisure facilities, schools as well as access control for housing estates.
