Using Octopus for Payment at 7-Eleven - Convenient, Fast & Get Free Gift

Starting from 7 November 2001 (Wednesday), 7-Eleven customers will be presented with a free pack of "Q-Octopus" tissue whenever using Octopus cards for purchasing any items at over 430 7-Eleven stores.

Widely accepted by the public, the Octopus currently has more than 7.9 million cards in circulation. Creative Star Limited, the issuer of Octopus cards, is continuously striving to extend Octopus applications which will make people's life easier. The introduction of Octopus to the convenience store environment is certainly a good example of such application.

Being the first and the biggest retail network rendering Octopus add-value service, 7-Eleven is also the pioneer convenience store chain to adopt Octopus for payment. Octopus cardholders now simply beep their cards on the Octopus readers placed on the cashier desktops of 7-Eleven, they can enjoy the convenience of being able to simultaneously reload their cards and make payment for all merchandize including newspapers, snacks, daily necessities etc, whatever 24 hours a day and 7 days a week without the hassle of exchanging coins. Using Octopus for payment, 7-Eleven customers will find the convenience store service even more convenient and speedy.

To reciprocate customer support to Octopus payment, 7-Eleven and Creative Star have specially designed a cute and handy "Q-Octopus" tissue pack for people to take home. The tissue packs will be available on a first-come-first-served basis while stocks last.
