Octopus Launches Offers for the Second Instalment Voucher under the 2023 Consumption Voucher Scheme

(Hong Kong, 31 May 2023) To align with the disbursement of the 2023 Consumption Voucher Scheme 2nd Instalment, Octopus Cards Limited (Octopus) has prepared a series of exciting offers and rewards for both new and existing customers. Newly registered customers and those who switch to Octopus will receive a reward of up to HK$100 welcome and switching offer. Furthermore, with the popular "Easy Earn" rewards platform, Octopus will distribute a total of 1 million cash coupons through a series of flash promotions – and is partnering with multiple shopping malls and merchants to offer over HK$100 million worth of merchant discount coupons, allowing both new and existing customers to "spend more and earn more".
- Welcome and Switching Offer
Newly registered Octopus customers who use their Mobile Octopus can earn up to HK$100 Octopus Top-up Value.- New customers and customers who switch to Octopus simply need to register on the Government Consumption Voucher Scheme website, use Octopus to collect the second instalment voucher during the promotion period and register their Octopus on the Octopus App^, they can easily earn HK$50 Octopus top-up value. If they register with their Mobile Octopus*, they can earn HK$100 Octopus top-up value.
- In addition, the "Student Mobile Octopus" service has been launched. Starting from 5 June, eligible students can use this service to collect their consumption vouchers, and benefit from value-added services, exclusive offers, rewards, and online shopping functions. Also through the "Student Mobile Octopus" service, students who collect consumption vouchers for the first time can earn HK$100 Octopus top-up value as a Welcome and Switching offer.
^It is not applicable to the existing customer using Octopus to receive the first instalment voucher.
* This includes Octopus on iPhone and Apple Watch, Samsung Pay, and Huawei Pay.

- Octopus has teamed up with popular Easy Earn merchants across the city to offer a series of flash cash coupons during the consumption voucher disbursement period. Participating merchants include Café de Coral, Circle K, JHC, McDonald's and more. Through the Octopus App, a total of one million cash coupons will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis over a four-week period. The cash coupons have no minimum consumption requirements**, allowing customers to use them immediately and enjoy the fun of shopping to the fullest.
