Octopus Partners with Mastercard to Make Online Payment More Inclusive

O! ePay Mastercard – a simple, safe and secure way to shop globally at online merchants accepting Mastercard

11 March 2019, Hong Kong – Octopus Cards Limited (OCL) today announced the launch of O! ePay Mastercard - the world's first reloadable virtual Platinum prepaid Mastercard, which is available to all O! ePay customers for a seamless global online shopping experience. New customers can simply sign up for an O! ePay account and the O! ePay Mastercard instantly with just a few clicks.

Payment by O! ePay Mastercard will be deducted from a customer's O! ePay account, which can be topped up conveniently from a bank account via the Faster Payment System (FPS), by cash at all 7-Eleven convenience stores, or from an Octopus card via a compatible NFC mobile device. So, O! ePay users have full control over how much can be spent online at any time.

O! ePay Mastercard will especially appeal to younger customers with growing global online shopping needs, as well as those who prefer not to use their credit or debit cards online. A host of best-in-class features also give O! ePay Mastercard customers freedom and control in their everyday online shopping:
