If you pay a parking fee on site by tapping an Octopus card on a new parking meter, and later wish to remotely extend the parking time, you can use "HKeMeter", a new mobile app from the Transport Department, and pay with your Octopus card or Octopus Wallet easily and conveniently via Octopus App, which also allows instant checking of your transaction records.

How to remotely extend the parking time using "HKeMeter", and pay with an Octopus card or Octopus Wallet via Octopus App:

1. After paying the parking fee by tapping your Octopus card on the parking meter, select the parking space and again press the QR code button on the parking meter;
2. Open "HKeMeter" to pair your mobile phone with the parking meter by scanning the QR code, thus linking your payment account with the parking meter;
3. Extend the parking time in "HKeMeter", and choose "Octopus" as payment method. "HKeMeter" will automatically open Octopus App, to make a remote payment from your Octopus card or Octopus Wallet.
