OKUse of RewardBuy on Octopus App
You can find RewardBuy in Octopus App through the following:
- Octopus App Home page > Featured section; and
- Octopus App Home page > Quick Actions > “All Actions” > “Buy coupons” under “Lifestyle & Offers”
Yes. You can set RewardBuy as a Quick Action using the “Edit” function on Octopus App Home page.
No. You can login and proceed with your existing Octopus Wallet account.
No. RewardBuy opens within the Octopus App and you must consent to the Terms and Conditions before access.
RewardBuy supports:
- Octopus Wallet
- Octopus (including Mobile Octopus)
You can view and use your eVouchers via:
- Octopus App Home page > “Coupon” icon (top right)
- “Rewards & Offers” page > “Coupon” icon (top right)
- You can also find them in eVoucher section of RewardBuy, please refer to Question 1 for entry.
On the "e-Vouchers" list, you can find the related voucher(s) and click “Use Coupon”. The voucher(s) can be used in three modes:
- “Click to Use”: Instantly view the voucher code. Show it to the merchant for redemption. The voucher will be updated to "Redeemed" after successful redemption.
- “Confirm to Use”: When prompted with "Confirm Coupon Redemption", click “Confirm” to reveal the voucher code and present it to the merchant for use. The voucher will be updated as "Redeemed" within 15 minutes after clicking “Confirm”.
- “Scan to Use”: When prompted with "Confirm Coupon Redemption", click “Confirm” to activate the camera, scan the merchant's "Redemption Code" to use the voucher. The voucher will be updated as "Redeemed" within 15 minutes after clicking “Confirm”.
Under the “My Coupon” tab, you can find usable eVouchers with the following statuses, you can use them according to their Terms and Conditions.
- Expire Soon
- Being Transferred
- No Status (means it is valid)
Under the “Opened / Invalid” tab, you will find eVouchers that are no longer fully usable. They may have one of these statuses:
- Used: you have used them before. Certain eVouchers may be reused; others can only be redeemed once.
- Expired: you may not be able to open and redeem it.
- Shared: you may not be able to open and redeem it as it has been successfully redeemed by your friend(s).
- Invalid: you may not be able to open and redeem it as it has been voided by COD. If you need help, please contact COD for assistance.
Yes, the Octopus App will send you push notifications to remind you when your RewardBuy eVouchers are nearing their expiry dates.
No. COD (supplier of RewardBuy eVouchers) is not an Easy Earn merchant. However, if you use an Easy Earn-linked Octopus at a COD merchant, you may still earn rewards.
