Taxi Driver Referral Reward Programme – Refer driver friends to earn rewards up to $1,000
All taxi drivers will be required to offer at least two electronic payment means. By applying Octopus Business Account, with just a single Octopus Mobile POS device, drivers can seamlessly accept a wide range of digital payments - including Octopus, UnionPay QR, WeChat Pay, WeChat Pay HK, PayMe, AlipayHK and Alipay - all in one place.
Starting from 6 October 2025, existing taxi drivers with Business Account refer a friend to open their own Business Account by 31 December 2025, and the referred friend receives at least 5 Octopus transactions of $32 or more within the first 40 days after the account approval, both the referrer and referee will receive a $100 reward! Each referrer can earn up to $1,000 for a maximum of 10 successful referrals. Refer your friends now to earn rewards!

Download Octopus App for Business, enter the referrer’s Business Account no. (exclude the bracketed no.) in the “Promo Code” field during application
Within 40 days after account approval, receive at least 5 Octopus transactions of $32 or more
Both the referrer and referee enjoy $100 reward
When can you get the reward?
The reward will be credited to both the referrers’ and referees’ Business Account automatically as below, according to the date when referee successfully fulfilled all the criteria(2):

Note:
- Promotion period: 6 October to 31 December 2025. Please note the Business Account approval date of the referee must not be later than 31 December 2025.
- To be eligible for the $100 reward for both the referrer and referee, the referee must fulfill the following criteria:
- The referee must correctly enter the referrer’s Business Account Number (excluding the bracketed number) in the “Promo Code” field during the Business Account application; and
- Within 40 days of account approval, the referee must receive at least five Octopus transactions of HK$32 or more.
- Each referrer can earn up to $1,000 for a maximum of 10 successful referrals.
- Each referee can enjoy the reward once only, i.e. $100. However, each referee can become referrer and earn up to $1,000 for a maximum of 10 successful referrals, i.e. maximum $1,100 in total.
- The reward is limited and will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis according to the time of the last Eligible Transaction completed. No reward will be offered once the reward limit is reached.
